Practical Indulgences

In a recent article at blackenterprise.com, reporter Ann Brown explained how their site is expanding to include a new "Practical Indulgences" feature.

Its purpose?

"Living the good life doesn’t have to be reserved for the rich and famous. From fashion and beauty, travel, food and wine, entertainment and home d├ęcor, bargains can be had – with the right information. In our new Practical Indulgences feature we'll show you how to live like royalty without ending up in the poor house."

Their first entry into the Simple Life?

An article on Sample Sales, which occur in select cities and offer designer samples at a fraction of the usual price.

I agree -- living the good life doesn't require a lot of money, in fact, some people are living a good life with NO money. Freegans, who often dumpster dive, do so for a variety of reasons, mostly environmental. They get food, materials for art, and often travel for free. check out live4free.org for more info.
